They are finally here!!! T-shirts are launched and you should get yours now! This is a project that I have been so excited about and has been in the works for a while. I wanted to make a blog post to share a little about the meaning behind the shirt and why I love them so much!

“This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him,” – Psalms 91:2 NLT. This is the verse on the front of the shirt.

What does it mean to have the Lord as your refuge? It was a question posed to me by the friend who created the design. This last year, I have come to know what it means to take refuge and find safety in the Lord. “Refuge – a place of shelter, protection, or safety. Anything to which one has recourse for aid, relief, or escape,” (dictionary definition). This place looks a little different every time for me but God is always the constant. Through the pain, the heartache, and the challenges what got me through was hiding in him. This is where I seek and find comfort. It requires trust and courage to find out how truly trustworthy our God is, to get to the place where the Lord fully sees you, into a place where you feel safe, and where you feel fully known. That is what the Lord being a refuge means to me!

My friend, Katie, is also one of the biggest reasons I am going on the World Race! It was her and her stories that led me to the World Race. She drew this design! She graciously let me use her personal drawing for these t-shirts and I am honored! My talented friend, Sierra, took the drawing and designed it to create the finished product! Many hands have come into creating this shirt and getting them launched. I am so grateful for all the amazing people who have helped me out. My family listened to countless ideas and helped me form marketing. Others helped me model and set up the launch. Even more they are believing in the call the Lord has placed on my life and are helping me get closer to being able to go. I couldn’t do it without them and you!

All in all, my hope is that these shirts cause you to ask these questions and seek the answers… Do you trust the Lord to be your refuge and safe place? When things get tough who or what do you turn to? Can you place your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs?
